Dark Ages Dagger

The blade was hand forged from 1080 Carbon steel.The blade was then normalized,clay coated and quenched,then triple tempered.The clay coating resulted in a very nice double temperline.The blade has been hand sanded to 600 grit and acid etched to make the temperlines more apparent.
The guard and 2-piece pommel has been forged from steel,then shaped,sanded and fire blued to nice shades of blue and purple.The guard has Sterling Silver inlay of a Moon on one side and a Sun on the opposite.The pommel is held together with 2 nickel silver rivets which are inset with black Onyx stones.The grooves of the pommel has sterling silver twist wire.The pommel is based on an Old English design.
The spacers are Nickel Silver,each has 7 Black Onyx stones.The spacers have been hand sanded to 4000 grit.
The handle is carved Ebony,with Nickel Silver Pins.
The Scabbard is tooled leather with Nickel Silver Fittings.The end of the scabbard has a Black Onyx stone.The scabbard has a leather frog tooled in wing pattern.
The blade has both of my symbols-my old symbol and the new one.It is the only knife that will ever have both.
This knife was custom made,and is the second of a very highly detailed set.The other was the Elvish Fighting knife Silver Thorn
